Code of Conduct

 
 

At Little House we want to create a culture of acceptance, compassion, understanding, and safety. We strive to make our customers and employees feel comfortable and heard. We expect our employees, customers, and vendors to treat each other with respect and professionalism at all times, while in the brewery or representing the brewery offsite. We have a zero tolerance policy in regards to discrimination, hate, harassment, or mistreatment, especially but not limited to the basis of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. These have been our beliefs since the time we opened our doors.

Our Goals :

  • To create a safe and comfortable working environment for our employees and owners.

  • To provide a safe and inclusive space for our employees and customers free from judgment, mistreatment, and harassment.

  • To create further educational opportunities for our staff including but not limited to harassment training and alcohol management, within the scope of brewery operations and beyond.

The following will not be tolerated:

  • Belittling, or subtle expressions of bias

  • Verbal, physical, or written abuse or assault

  • Bullying, intimidation, or victimization

  • Discrimination

  • Inappropriate use of company property or assets

  • Failure to comply with company values

  • Illegal activity

  • Harassment including but not limited to:

    • Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion.

    • Deliberate “outing” of any aspect of a person’s identity without their consent except as necessary to protect vulnerable people from intentional abuse.

    • Unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment. 

    • Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior in spaces where they’re not appropriate.

    • Physical contact and simulated physical contact (eg, textual descriptions like “*hug*” or “*backrub*”) without consent or after a request to stop.

    • Threats of violence or incitement of violence towards any individual, including encouraging a person to commit suicide or to engage in self-harm.

    • Deliberate intimidation.

    • Stalking or following.

    • Harassing photography or recording, including logging online activity for harassment purposes

    • Unwelcome sexual attention. 

    • Pattern of inappropriate social contact, such as requesting/assuming inappropriate levels of intimacy with others 

    • Continued one-on-one communication after requests to cease.


Reporting Violations

Violations to this Code of Conduct can be reported to our staff, management, or owners.

Violations to this Code of Conduct:

Violations to this code of conduct will be investigated in a timely manner. Staff who violate will meet disciplinary action - up to termination. Customers who violate this code of conduct are subject to refusal of service. Third Party Vendors who violate this code of conduct are subject to termination of services.
