As local as beer gets, from our house to yours. Our brewery and taproom are crammed into an almost 200-year-old historic building, right in the heart of charming downtown Chester, CT. We're open, so come on in and make yourself at home!
16 Main Street has lived many lives. From meat-market to post-office, barbershop to bakery, our house has been front and center in Chester since 1836.
Little House was founded on the idea of continuing this rich tradition. Think of us as the "Cheers" of Chester; a return to the origin of the tavern, a small taproom where locals and visitors alike can feel at home. Our tap list is ever-changing, though always varied enough to please a wide variety of beer drinkers.
And we’ll never stop searching for better beer.
In November of 2021, Little House went SOLAR!
As part of our committment to brewing as sustainably as possible, we are proud to join Connecticut’s other solar-powered breweries in making beer using the best ingredient of all - the sun! Our new Tesla Solar Roof does more than just offset our electricity usage, though. It’s also a super strong, long-lasting tempered glass roof that you have to see in person to believe. We are also equipped with Tesla powerwalls, which store our excess solar energy so that in the event of a grid outage… the lights stay on and the beer keeps on pouring!
